SLR evaluation for Collage

Thinking Creatively!

My collage shows a few ways of my creative thinking. One of the ways it shows my creative thinking is when I wanted to emphasize my feeling that I empathized for the boys. I wrote them in bold and made them stand out. I also was able to think creatively by printing the poster and not by cutting and pasting. Being a Green Guardian this was very important for me because it was one of the ways i helped say paper and not add to the amount that had been used in our class.

Reason Critically

Even though in this project we were sculpting a poster with images and words, we were forced to reason critically the whole time. You reasoned on the whole aspect of constructing the poster, shape, images and words. You had to make sure that while printing the images they were the right size, because you did not have a large poster to cut and paste on. What made that harder was because when finding images you come across thousands that you want to you, however with the limited amount of poster board you had to reason on which ones to use and which ones convey the message you can to give. Yet the words on the poster were very important. They were the anchors that summarized the poster. They helped convey your message, and you had to reason very carefully which words were ones that would make scene with the poster, and which words go well in the memoir.

Communicate Effectively

In my collage I communicated through the images and the text. Through the images I was able to communicate many aspects of the lost, boys life. I showed some culture, with images that show the Dinkan traditional dress. I showed their migration path, with the maps and the foot prints, and i showed their life style, by showing the condition the people from Dinka live in. The words of my collage communicated how the lost boys felt. My six word memoir is clearly telling us about how the boys feel.

Live Ethically

When making the poster I believe I lived ethically. I sympathized with the people of Dinka. I was being a good person by trying to evoke sympathy into others by making this poster. Showing them the reality of live in Sudan. By choosing pictures that bring tears to the eyes I hoped to get people involved and hoped to get people to make a change. Another way I was living ethically was by making the citations on the back. I gave credit the people who took the pictures and did not able them as my own.
