LYNN IS CHANGING!

After moving to Georgia Lynn found a new best friend or you can say second. At first, Katie accepts this with all the generosity of a child who admires and loves her older sister. It's not so easy to understand, though, when Lynn and Amber begin "walking around the living room with books on their heads", giggling and whispering about boys all the time. Katie is glad Lynn has a friend, but sometimes she wishes that Lynn had more time to just be spending time with Katie."Lynn came back and told me she french kissed a boy"! This was when Lynn came back from camping with a Amber and exposed to Katie she had french kissed. She swore she wold never. "Sammy and I had a race to see who could stuff the most chicken in their mouth. Stop it Katie its not laddie like!" Lynn always aloud Katie to do what she pleased but now that Katie isn't being lady like Lynn is getting mad. This is due to the influence Amber is putting on Lynn.

Parent Interviews

Interviewing my parents has really helped me understand two different facts. The first fact is how adolescents was back then and what I should be expecting going into adolescents. I could not believe the memories my dad was telling be about his teen journey there were so different compared to what I am going through. I figured out that it would actually be a fun time. When my dad was going through adolescents he had so much more responsibilities then me and also had much more scene when he was my age. I learned a lot more about him for example what he did for fun when he was a kid his like and dislike. IT SEEMED LIKE HE WAS A HOLE OTHER PERSON!

Frim

We just got back from our Frim trip. The trip was ok not the best situation you can put some one in but you know what they say you got to make the best of what you have. Over all the only part I really enjoyed was the hike. I didn't mind the social aspect of the trip because many of my friends were there. So it wasn't that boring. Although I must say I didn't like the fact how we had groups to do our four activities. Why, because in my group there was only one more girl and the rest were boys. So basically the whole time I only had was one friend with me. I can't complain that bad because I did make amends with some of them and it was quite fun. However when I got back to the camp ground I had no clue what my friends were talking about because they were all in the same group and had done everything together.

KIRA KIRA!

Glittering. That’s how Katie Takeshima’s sister, Lynne, makes everything seem. The heavens is kira-kira since its colour is deep but see-through at the similar time even peoples eyes the sea as well. When Katie and her family move from a Japanese community in Iowa to the Deep South of Georgia, it’s Lynn who explains to her why people stop them on the street to stare. And it’s Lynn who, with her special way of screening the world, teaches Katie to look beyond tomorrow. Moving to Iowa will be very hard for Kati and Lynn. They will need to try and fit in. This is not like fitting in just at school but also in the town. The two must learn the racial aspect of the town. How blacks are unwanted and how they are among the fewest of Japanese. Also paying bills and what they really wanted getting a house.

"If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it." William Arthur Ward

TO set a goal is to set a challenge that hopefully one day you will complete. although the first step to set the goal is to know what your goal is. you know that by dreaming about it. then the last step is to achieve it. Achieving the goal is the hardest part. Yet with the right determination and streght you surly can achive your goal. This is what the quote is telling me. But mabey to you the meassage is differnt. However there is no dout this is a very powerfull quote.
